Apple Watch ECG in China

I have an Apple Watch purchased in the US. The ECG worked perfectly in the US. When I paired it with my phone in China, the ECG no longer works. Although it says it is not available in this region, on the news on June 28 of this year says the ECG app was approved by the Chinese government. If that’s the case, when will the ECG app be rolled out for China?
