Since the last update, my Apple Watch 6 does not update the time when my wrist is down in Always On so that when I look at it, the time is wrong. When I lift my wrist and the Watch turns bright, the time just jumps ahead to the correct time. Is this a bug? Is there any fix?

Here is the solution:
Apply the force restart trick to do it all in one move: Simultaneously press & hold the Digital Crown + Side Button until the screen turns black and the Apple logo is displayed! This will restart your watch, and the problem will go away

This is definitely a new problem after the update. I have the same issue
It is not a bug. I'm going to assume that you are using the analog watch face.
The watch will not move the hands while the watch is not active.
If you want it to always update you'll need to use a digital watch face.
I have the same problem with all of my watch faces, including the digital ones. The time doesn't update when my wrist is down and then jumps forward when I raise my wrist. But if I look at the digital time in Always On, the time is wrong until I raise my wrist. This problem is new, since the update.
I have seen this twice too and even when I raise the watch, it is still wrong - battery complication shows wrong level as well. Switching faces fixes it or restart, but the fix is not permanent. Not sure what triggers it. I'm on 8.1 A lot of people are experiencing this based on reports Google shows me.
Same here. I just got a new iPhone 13 pro and since migrating to it my watch doesn’t update unless I raise my wrist.
