do any upgrades allow a recipient of unwanted group texts to opt-out?
I have been receiving unwanted spam group texts and want to drop out of the 'conversation'. Is there an upgrade coming out that will allow this?

If the texts are SMS or have any SMS participants there is no way to opt out. It’s a limitation of the SMS protocol, not something that Apple has any control over.

Too bad. it's annoying and shouldn't be that difficult to 'fix'.
It’s something that the lords of the SMS standard would have to fix; the recipients on an SMS are managed by the carriers.
