My iPad will not charge. I'm using the original "c" cable that came with it. It is less than 6 months old. What can I do to fix it?

These support pages should help with troubleshooting:

Charge and monitor the iPad battery - Apple Support

If your iPad won't charge – Apple Support

Troubleshooting generally requires substitution of the Power Adapter and cable for another known-good item.

If you continue to experience difficulties, you might be best advised to first seek assistance directly from from Apple Support - and request a remote diagnostic test. You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad, Power Adapter and cable(s):

Test anotner known good USB-C cable and other know good Apple power/charging adapter block.

The original Apple 18 or 20W, that came in the box, with that iPad, could, also, be faulty.

Apple's power/charging accessories go bad/faulty, somewhat often. Especially the power/charging adapter blocks.

If one or both of these is faulty, you would to search online for your nearest, “local” Apple store location and call contact phone numbers and call to make an appointment to get either or both of these power/charging accessories replaced for free. and/or purchased extra, new power/charging accessorries for this iPad

OR

You can just purchase these here.
