iPhone 12 and Verizon

My husband and I purchased an iPhone 12 (each) through Verizon in 8/21. Due to numerous issues with the carrier we would like to switch carriers. We are now being held to the price of the phone which I understand. Can I remove the SIM card and place a new one with the new carrier and have full capability of the phones? I’m so done…

If the phone is locked to Verizon, you will need to have them unlock the phone before you can use a different carrier. Start here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201328

Those phones may be locked to Verizon if you financed them with Verizon. You will need to talk to Verizon about meeting unlock requirements and then getting them to unlock them. That may mean you need to pay off the balance owed on the devices.

Even if you paid in full, Verizon locks all devices sold by them for 60 days.
