Green dot on Apple Watch face

The green dot appearing on my Apple Watch face is a phone call I received yesterday on my iPhone. I have tried to remove it but no luck. When I put my iPhone near my Apple Watch, the green dot turns to a brief blinking red dot then returns to solid green dot. Last time this happened, I cleared all my recent calls off my iPhone and the green dot disappeared. However, this time it is remaining on my Apple Watch face. Any ideas on how to remove this stubborn green dot will be greatly appreciated.
