I removed my account as I was upgrading to a new phone and so the old phone was being set up to be ready to data transfer for the new user when the get it but during that time I got locked out and I didn’t put a password so now it’s asking for one and I’ve gotten up to the locked phoen 15 min marker and tried what I could but so far no luck so any way I can can passed the locked screen it’s factory reset

If it has a passcode it is not factory reset.
Passcode Locked and Disabled phones you can use a  computer and the Apple ID password, but unfortunately it will wipe the phone
If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled

In iOS 15.2 passcode Locked phones can be erased without a computer. After a few more wrong attempts it will lock. You need the AppleID password.  It will wipe the phone.Â
