How to download a Mac Book Pro to a new iMac

This is very very easy. If the new Mac has not been started yet then connect the old Macs Time Machine Time Machine backup using a USB cable to the new Mac. Turn on the new Mac and it will launch Setup Assistant . SA will get to a point where asks if want to migrate from another Mac. Select yes and follow the prompts!!

if you have already started up the new Mac connect the Time Machine drive as described above and launch Migration Assistant (Applications-Utilities-Migration Assistant) and follow the prompts. Super easy , fast and dead reliable.

go to Apple support and search for the instructions. You don't download anything but MIGRATE. It would be a connection from the old to the new then a MIGRATION of data.
