utility disk erased, now what for trade-in?

I'm preparing my Mac Pro for a trade-in, I have erased the Machintosh HD drive via utility Disk and now what are the steps to send it back?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 12.1

All that information should be included in the Trade-in Kit set you address associated with your Apple ID Account.

Erasing Macintosh HD problem I want to erase my iMac (2010) disk running High Sierra as I am recycling my iMac. I followed the steps on "What to do before you sell, give away or trade in you Mac" published June 04, 2020. At step 7, erase your hard drive, after selecting the Macintosh HD in sidebar the Erase button will not highlight. Only First Aid and Partition buttons in tool bar are highlighted, Erase, Restore, Unmount buttons are not highlighted (made available).

resetting mac with no utility disk I have a 2009 Mac that I'd like to erase to factory settings and give it away to a friend. I've discovered I no longer have the utility disk. I remember getting rid of it in the last move....I had no idea what it was for at the time. Is there any way of erasing everything and resetting without it or do I need to go buy a new one at the Apple store? Thanks!
