My new iphone 13pro was faulty as it had charging issues. Went for repair and i now have a replacement device . Is it refurbished phone?. Am i paying so much just to use a refurbished one . Shouldn’t i get a new replacement phone instead?

Mine ,got it today. The replacement phone came in white box. Turned on and the battery was less than 15%. Looked fine . No scratches but the phone was heating up when i put it on charge. Now i doubt these products . My partner has a 13pro max and the voice has a lot of disruption and i can hardly understand what she says. Many complain her this issue. Got it checked at service centre , tests went fine but the problem still exists. Disappointing, that we pay big amounts to get crap. May be my basket has rotten apples.

Can be new or refurbished and there's no way to request it. However, they require exchanged devices in order to refurbish them, so for a 13 Pro there are likely new ones at this time since they'll usually build up a supply of new replacement devices to deal with early service or damage replacements. Many suspect that returns (that can't be resold as new) become refurbs. So to turn those into replacement devices would just require a quick check, changing the model/serial numbers, and a new battery installed.
