Using “keyboard as trackpad” is helpful. I can delete the first letter of the second word and the entire first word. Then caps is automatically turned on so I can type the first letter back on the second word capitalized. Works great!

Hi there JanLMich,

We understand you'd like to capitalize a word you've already typed on your iPhone.

You can select the word then tap Replace to see if the capitalized word is an option with the steps here: Select, cut, copy, and paste text on iPhone

Additionally, to edit only the first letter, you can use the "Turn the onscreen keyboard into a trackpad" section in this article to navigate to that letter to adjust it: Type with the onscreen keyboard on iPhone

Finally, you can also delete the entire word to type it again.

We hope this helps.
