Airdrop on iPad mini 5 stuck in “Receiving off”

Airdrop on iPad mini 5 will not switch from “Receiving off” to “Receiving on” after trying all suggestions.

iPad mini 5, iPadOS 15

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Thanks for reaching out to us for help with this trouble you're having with AirDrop on your iPad mini. Does this issue persist after restarting the iPad? Follow the steps here to do so:

Restart your iPad

Also, you will want to check if there are any profile configurations installed on your iPad. The steps to check that are found here:

Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone

I was aware of the reboot and tried it previously. This was a new iPad less than a year ago and there are no other configurations. I just work for my self. I turned of receiving files by Airdrop for privacy, but now l need to share with my MacBook. It is crazy that something this simple is this difficult.
