Blocked a contact

Hi, I blocked a contact a few days ago however they can still text me and receive messages

I have blocked a contact but they are still able to message me I have blocked a contact but I am still receiving text messages from them. They have been blocked intermittently but have never received texts from them when blocked until today

Blocked Contact can still text me I blocked a NON apple user phone number, so they do not have an Apple ID, yet they are still able to text me. Any ideas?
