What is AnyDesk and a 9 digit number that says Your Address

Received a call from "Apple Security" saying two orders for Apple equipment had been placed from China using my Apple account. He had me clicking on different apps to eliminate the problem until he go to a site named "AnyDesk". It had a nine digit number shown on the screen in a red field that was named My Address. He wanted me to select that number which would give "Apple Security" access to all the equipment on my network. I refused to cooperate because it would have given him or someone else access to my home network, computers, iPhones, printer, TV's, etc. Was this for real? One screen did show that two orders had been placed for $1,234 and $4,354 (not sure about exact amounts).
