Hi,
I am missing the third column on the right.
I have the mailboxes column, the sort by column and the third column on the right with the message etc.is gone.
I did something accidentally and it disappeared and I cannot figure out how to get it back.
Does anyone know how I can get it back?

There is no+ there. it happens when you move your mouse to the right edge of your mail app. But first go to the left corner just above your mailboxes. you will see mailboxes , inbox and sent. Try clicking on mailboxes, which should collapse your left column. See if any of the mail header shows then. In which case you can use your mouse to drag to the left and get it back. Does the (sort by) go all the way across? If it does put your mouse on the right edge and you should see a + with arrows on it. Right click and hold then drag to the left. Is you mail app almost filling the screen.? If not go to top right corner and double click. If you cannot get the + on the right edge then go to left top and click one on Mailboxes. It will collapse (sort by) and you should see some of the messages header which you can then drag back to the left.

And yes the (sort by) goes all the way across.
I do not see a + on the far right.
On Mailboxes I can see a one on a black circle if I put my mouse there, but if I click on it
brings up a pop up to create a new mailbox.
It does not collapse so I am not sure if I am doing it wrong or what ...

I just duplicated what you might have done. So now here's what I want you to try. Bring your mouse out to the right edge. Need to see a horizontal line with arrows at each end. Right click the mouse. Then do a two finger swipe from right to left on your trackpad.
I don't what I am NOT doing correctly.
I put the mouse on the arrows and right click the mouse and nothing happens. I cannot swipe it.
I can left click it and make the "sort by date" column and drag the mouse left or right to make it smaller
or larger.
I picked the inbox folder and hit "rebuild" and nothing happens.
You move your mouse to the right edge till you see the horizontal line with arrows a each end.Do it half way up. Now the swipe to the left must be fast. You are sliding the mouse from right to left.So right click and hold it. Then swipe to the left. I just tried it again on mine and it does work. The only other thing you can try is go to recovery and reinstall your operating system. It will not delete your personal files.
Ok. I see the horizontal line with 2 arrows at each end.

I am on an iMac.
OK. Since you don't have a trackpad use your mouse as if it is one. When you go to the right side and have the arrows showing. Right click the mouse and swipe to the left. Not slowly.
THAT worked! I am all set now.
