I want to silence the voice giving directions in Maps. Hugely annoying. Used to could do this but no longer. Navigation & Guidance has been completely removed from Maps in Settings. Is there another way to turn off the voice? I may need to move over to Waze!
They did not remove the option. They actually made it easier to get to...
Tap the speaker icon on the right to open the menu. Choices are on, alerts only, and off.

Apple took away the ability to silence the voice giving directions in Maps!!!
