Microphone iPad issues

As the microphone works with some Apps and not others, you don’t have a hardware fault.

With what App are you attempting to record a video? Have you allowed the App to access the microphone? If permissions have been denied, the App will record without sound from the iPad microphone.

Settings > Privacy > Microphone

Each App that requests access to the microphone should appear in this list. To enable use of the iPad microphone, the corresponding entry for the App must be set to ON.

A. Start with a Restart:

C. Report this to Apple:

Did you recently update your iPad?

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

2. Comment: when this all began, and how you have troubleshot it thus far. Include the URL of this post.
3. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
4. Proceed from there aw necessary

D. Update to the Most Recent iPad OS:

Important: Be certain to create back up your iPad prior to this update. That way, you can have something to restore your iPad from the backup, should anything go wrong afterward
