I want to know if I can pause a focus, say if you go on vacation. I found my self missing messages because the focus would turn on at the scheduled time and I would need to remember to turn it off, twice a day. I had to delete it and will have to set it up again when I go back to work. Not ideal.

I personally don't use Focus on my devices. I work from home and I'm self-employed, so everything I do is pretty much entwined. However, I wanted to inquire, have you tried creating your Focus mode to enable for Location or App launch instead of time based?

For instance, if you go to work, allow Work Focus to enable when at that location. I know for those working at home, like myself, that would not be useful. But if you launch a particular app for work, you could enable that option instead.
Either way, it could be a useful piece of feedback to the iOS team for future enhancement -- and it sounds like it would be a welcome idea.

I could set it up using geo-location, however I drive for a living (yes I have a driving focus set as well) and it would be difficult and messy. I sometimes return home for a while but am still working. However, my question can be for any focus you make on your phone, the ability to temporarily turn it off would be welcome.
Is there no way to pause a focus? i.e. pause work focus if you go on vacation?
