Why does my iPhone 12 still beep when the volume is turned all the way down?

Have you turned silent mode on by turning the switch above the volume buttons down? Then you will activate silent mode, not by turning the volume down

That was it! Thanks a lot. I didn’t even realize that I had that switch until now because it was hidden by the case ☺️👍
