I get error 54 can't connect to server when downloading a purchased movie

Why can't I download a TV show produced by Apple TV to my MacBook Air? The error code -1005 is shown when I try to download the content. I subscribe to Apple TV + and I can stream content such as shows produced by Apple TV+ (for an example the tv show Foundation). However, when I try to download an episode I get the error message -1005. There's enough space on my MacBook Air and my connection is stable.

There was a problem downloading (movie name) I need to download my movies that I have recently purchased, one as early as Friday, 9/22. It apears in Apple TV under the movies section, can be played on the physical aple TV device hooked up to my TV, but I'm getting an error: The URL "^0" could not be found on the server. This only affects certain movies (and Im going to guess shows as well) but not all.

More than likely the server is busy, or the internet is, and you just need to keep trying.

It turned out to be a security setting on the external hard drive where my movie library resides.
