Enable Items in iCloud:

On the iPhone and other Apple devices, enable items (ie. Contacts) in iCloud.

On the iPhone:

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
3. Tap: iCloud
4. Tap: (Photos) (so that it is green)
5. Tap: Other items, if desired

Yes, you can synch the contents of the Messages app on iCloud.

Open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ iCloud ➡️ Messages: Ensure that this is set to ON.
