I've tried with an existing disk that worked up until 10/4/22 and with a reformatted disk (I've tried formatting to AFPS, Mac OS Extended, and both again in case-sensitive mode). Nothing works.

I don't know why it worked, but I turned off Automatic Backups, and now the reformatted drive is at least working. I'll see if the older drive also backs up.
