My sister sent me an iPhone 12 pro max from the USA. I am in Nigeria.
When the phone got to me, i inserted my Nigerian SIM card into it and the error message i got is "SIM NOT SUPPORTED". The entire phone works well with WIFI. Just that I can't use my Nigerian sim on it.
My sister said she has reached out to the service provider but the phone is not working up till now.
Please help

Only the carrier the phone is locked to can unlock it. Your sister will need to contact them again and make sure they have unlocked it.
The carrier confirmed it has been unlocked and even did a factory setting. It's still the same thing. What can I do?
It is not unlocked or you wouldn't get the "SIM not supported" message.
