Apple TV won’t update to os 16.2

I have an Apple TV 4K 1st gen running OS 15.6. When I try to update to 16.2, it stops and says it didn’t update and try again later. But then I see it’s in the process of updating or redownloading all my streaming apps. I have tried this several times, and it does the same thing. What’s up?
