How to find out what causes Message Notification other than New Message? There’s no New Message.

Whenever that has happened to me it has been a message that I tried to send but would not send.

Can be network, or the person at the other end not being set up for messages or anything in between.


From your point of view

Check your network connections then

Settings, Messages, Turn off iMessage

Settings, Face Time, Turn off Face Time

Restart the phone.

Settings, Messages, Turn on iMessage, SMS, MMS

Settings, Messages, send & Receive, select your number which should now be there.

Settings, Face Time, Turn on Face Time
