Adding people to a group text on iOS

Once a group text has begun, how do you add people to the group? I no longer have the plus sign nor do I have the i with a circle around it for information. Help!😩

In order to add a person to a conversation, everyone in the conversation is required to use iMessages. If someone in the group sends "normal green" SMS messages, these functions are not available.
