AirTag makes noise when on microchipped dog

Periodically (rarely and randomly) the AirTag on my dog makes noise, more like a few musical notes. Fortunately, the dog does not freak out.

When I remove the AirTag from the dog, the AirTag does not appear to make any random noise.

I have already reset the AirTag, replaced the battery, replace the AirTag with another AirTag, and the firmware is probably up-to-date because the dog and the cell phone ate within 10-15 feet of each other at night.

Is it possible that the dog’s microchip is triggering the AirTag to make noise?

Any ideas?

“… The dog walker tells me he hears chirping quite frequently coming form [sic] the Airtags … “

As well he/she should (unless they’re carrying one of YOUR devices on the walk).

It’s Apple’s privacy feature to alert your active/moving dog (and whomever else might be nearby) … that they have “on them” a device which could be used for surreptitious tracking.
