Apple TV Plus app on LG TV stutter and buffering until unusable

Hi, everytime I stream from apple TV plus on my TV it starts pretty well. App launch slowly and the interface is really slow and sometime unpredictable, but I can couple with that.

After a while (sometimes 2-3 episodes, sometime in the first one) it starts progressively buffering, stuttering and lagging until it stops completely.

The only solution is close and restart the app, or the entire TV, to buy me some 30-40 minutes of uninterrupted watching.


This only happens with Apple TV plus app: I watch Netflix, Prime Video, Youtube, Disney+ and Twitch on the same TV, on 4K, and never ever had this kind of problem with those apps.

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and the TV firmware is up to date.


My setup:

  • LG TV UJ63 series with native support for Apple TV Plus app
  • 1000Mb fiber FTTH connection with the provider supplied router
  • The TV is connected to the router via direct cable RJ7

Hi, I've tried resetting the app but the problem still persists.


As a note, I also tried setting the app on standard quality instead of 4K, but this didn't solve the problem as well.
