iPhone alarm not making any sound (volume is ON FULL)

Ok, this issue has been asked a million times on here and Apple always says the same thing. Turn your volume up. Well Apple, the volume IS up so that reply won’t be accepted as a solution so please look into this beyond copy/pasting the standard response.

Very often, I will wake up (late of course) because my alarm didn’t go off. I’ll look at my phone and see the alarm screen is up (see attached image) and it looks like my alarm should be ringing but it is not I will immediately go check my volume settings and it is on blast (see attached image). This bug causes the alarm to activate without sound. To eximplify this further, sometimes the alarm WILL sound, I’ll click snooze, and when the snooze completes and the alarm activates there is no sound. Obviously I didn’t go turn off my volume when I snoozed it. This is clearly a bug.

Did you even read my post? I clearly stated that this copy/paste reply you always put on this issue is not the solution. Please actually read my post before responding. As I said the alarm rings sometimes initially but not after snoozing. Clearly I don’t have the alarm sound set to none.

How to change the alarm's volume

  1. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
  2. Under Ringtone and Alert Volume, drag the slider left or right to set the volume. As you drag, an alert will play, so you can hear how the volume changes.
  3. Turn on Change with Buttons to use the volume buttons on your device to change the alarm volume.

How to set and change alarms on your iPhone - Apple Support

  • If your alarm only vibrates, make sure that your alarm sound isn't set to None. Open the Clock app, tap the Alarm tab, then tap Edit. Tap the alarm, then tap Sound and choose a Sound.
  • If you connect headphones to your iPhone, the alarm plays at a set volume through the built-in speakers on your iPhone as well as wired and wireless headphones.
