There are browser extensions that will take a shot of an entire page. Depends on which browser you use.
There is an extension for Safari in the App Store called FireShot. Seems to work okay. I haven't done any extensive testing.
Just to clarify, with web sites, one is always at the mercy of the site in question. ChatGPT is a train wreck in all respects. Maybe look for a web extension that will allow you to easily copy content from it. I know there are many apps too, but this is a modern gold rush (with no actual gold) so you can expect lots of scams and malware. A web extension is probably the safest approach.
Safari 16.1 - any extension that you recommend?
Here is an example from here on ASC.
This does not work for me - when there is a menu bar on the left which appears as a static window to the left of the scrolling webpage.
Can you post a screen shot? Don't understand what you're describing. Both the extension and "Export as PDF" works for me.
Thanks that worked for me - on websites with static left windows as well. Thank you.
You're welcome.
Our posts are slightly out of sync. 😎
Take for example - chatGPT webpage it has a static window on left. This page will not work with save as pdf. It only saves the visible page.
I see. Good to know.
Just use "Export as PDF".
