Your iPad on-screen keyboard layout will differ by iPad model - and your language preferences.


Your keyboard layout may look something like this…:




… or, if you tap the ?123 key, the shifted keyboard could look like this:




If you see a key that shows two characters, the lower character is accessed with just a tap. To access the upper character, touch and hold the key, then release - or touch and slide your finger to the upper character that will appear above the primary key.
