Apple Pay not working

My subscriptions are going unpaid because my debit card keeps failing despite having adequate funds. I’ve communicated with my bank and it’s not a problem on their end.

When I open the settings app and go to the payment and shipping tab, my debit card says it failed. I am unable to add a new card because the button is not clickable. When I try to remove the card, it does not work. It wants me to verify the card, but then comes up with an error when I try to verify it. The error says in red text: MZFinance.FamilyNonHoH.CannotAddPayment

When I try to link the card, it does Face ID, and then opens a text box that says Unable to Add Card. There was a problem when trying to add this card. Try again.

Troubleshooting Adding a Method of Payment:

A. Add, then Delete.

You need at least one Method of Payment assigned to your account. This is because even free apps have their option for internal purchases. So, add the new method of payment, and then remove the one that is currently in there. Add a payment method to your Apple ID - Apple Support

B. If Declined: If your Payment Method is Declined in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

No Success?

C. For Financial Assistance, Contact Apple Store Support. You need to contact Apple Support Directly. This is a User-to-User forum. We are all volunteers. So, as you may suspect, no one here has access to that information — and that is a good thing, BTW. That’s why for Financial Assistance, you need to contact Apple Support. They’ll see what’s going on and will run you through the fix.

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
