Frustrating language settings Apple TV store

It is so frustrating to buy anything at the Apple TV store. After buying Melancholia the other day, all descriptions and everything are in English. Under the info box, it says: primary language English and the movie is still in German and can’t be changed.

Now the same thing happens to my purchase of “how I met your mother season 1”. There is just nooo possibility to change to English even though all settings are on English… there only the German version which is absolutely useless. It cant be so difficult for Apple to give the option while purchasing something to ask which language someone wants OR just always include at least the original language… this is super frustrating and makes no sense.

In that case, it’s a copyright/royalty restriction over which neither you nor Apple have much control, unfortunately. Try Amazon, but keep hopes low. If Rent doesn’t work, try Buy, just might. All the best.

Magnolia in Germany has German and English audio, with German being default.

Rent and Buy has the exact same language support.

Language support is not determined or mandated by Apple. The supplying studio decides on that, per country.

Its about “Melancholia” from Lars von Trier.

I read that wrong initially. Sorry about that.

Its only available in german when I buy it over the PlayStation apple TV App.
Now, at least on my phone, it says english and german.

Hmm. When I look it up, I see only one audio track listed: German. Some portion of dialog may be in other languages, though (i.e. not a separate track).
