How can I turn on the mic on my Apple Watch?

I too had this issue, and tried rebooting, etc. I saw a comment on here that it was an issue with the firmware Accessibility->VoiceOver functionality. I went into my settings and turned that on - boom microphone worked. I went back in and turned VoiceOver off. Now the issue is seemingly fixed! Give it a try.

I had this same issue and even sent my Ultra to apple for a diagnostic and sent my watch back in a few days as can’t duplicate problem. Come to find out I have a clear case that goes around my watch and it has a mic opening but I guess from time to time it gets moved around and that’s what my problem was and my microphone works now and it would work during the day but at night stop working.. But that was my problem and I’m not sure if that will work for you but if you have case it’s a good starting point..

Hello freddiebear1914, You might check these settings on your Apple Watch

• Have you tried to do a Voice Memo test on your watch to see if it is recording your voice and playing it back? If that doesn't work go to settings on your Watch in next step.
• Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Scroll down to Microphone and click > Make sure Measure Sounds is ON
• Also while there check for apps that may have Microphone disabled.
• Make sure you're not in "Low Power" mode. If you use a workout with your watch check your Watch App settings on your iPhone and scroll down to "Workout" and click. At the Top you will see Low Power Mode and Make sure it is set to OFF.
• Hopefully these checks will clear the issue.

1 - There is no microphone icon there is only the speaker icon..,???

2 - Are you getting confused with the torch icon or the mobile icon? They both look like microphone icons?

3 - Pressing it one The watch screen does not turn on. Could you rephrase that?

Actually rephrase the whole question doesn’t make sense.

Most recent Watch update cleared that up for me. Also completely shut it (and my iPhone down) and restarted both.

When Speaking to Siri, the red dot above the 12:00 position on the watch face becomes an amber microphone icon. Hope this helps.

Settings>General>Dictation Turn off then turn on worked! Thanks so much :)

My I watch mic is not working.

I can’t even try the accessibility option as it’s disabled on my watch… This started happening a couple months ago before the upgrade
