How to prevent my iPhone 14 from calling contacts automatically?

Have you found a solution to this? I didn’t think about it until you said it’s calling the last person I texted! Mine is doing the same thing.

My IPhone 15 is calling my contacts randomly on its own. But it appears that I am receiving a call from them, but on their end it shows I am calling them. HELP ME STOP THIS!!

It’s becoming a major issue automatically calling people that I really don’t want to talk with at that time.

Its like an automatic butt dial and people are asking me why are you butt dialing me but I’m not, my phone calls people automatically! HELP!😳

this just happened to my iphone 11 software version 17.6.1 recently updated.

sitting on the wireless charger this morning, and all of a sudden my friend was saying hello? it was even on speaker, ffs!!! it wasn't showing an outgoing call until he hung up, and then it indicated that the call was placed by my phone

I’m gonna try this today. My iPhone 15 was laying on the counter next to my wife’s phone and it called her phone 4 times within a half hour at like 1am.

Mine is doing the same thing, but I’m not seeing any discussions on how to fix or stop this

it started doing this in church and ended up calling my husband that was sitting right next to me during church service.

The earliest réponse to this thread made some suggestions and asked several clarifying questions. I don't believe the original poster ever answered them.

At this point, rather than tack a message onto a thread that's over a year old and appears to have people posting about a number of different issues around calling, I suggest you start your own, new thread. Keep in mind the questions asked in the first response to this thread and try to answer them as best you can.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 12 Pro Max , just purchased a 16 pro max same thing happened. I solved it by checking my shortcuts and found an old number of my granddaughter’s. It seems while I was using my phone I would accidentally tap the apple logo on the back which because this number was in my shortcuts it would ring it. Go to short cut check if the numbers the phone calls on its own are the numbers in shortcuts if so delete them and tick none in shortcuts lists. Worked for me , hope this helps

My iphone 13 makes calls by itself to random people, sometimes to people I haven’t contacted for a long time. It makes call even when it sits on my table.

My IPhone 14 is making outgoing calls randomly whilst connected to Bluetooth speaker/ car Bluetooth, nothing is open in the background other then Spotify
