No iOS 17 on iPhone 8. Applicable security patches may or will be available for iOS 16.

The iPhone 8 will continue to get security updates for iOS 16 for at least a year. Other than that, there will be no new updates or features. The iPhone 8 is not compatible with iOS 17.
