Battery Automation Not Working (video included)

I am trying to set up a battery automation, in order to turn on or off the tp-link tapo p110 wifi plug when the battery of my iPhone hits 40 or 80%. I tried to do that by creating two shortcuts ( on the shortcut app) to "turn on/off a device" via the compatible Tapo app, one for turning it on and one for turning it off. Then I created two automations (on the shortcut app), one for when the battery level equals 40 and one for 80%, and set the shortcuts I have previously created accordingly.

The thing is that the automation is not working, even tho when I am manually triggering the shortcut it works. I have tried disabling and enabling the automation and messed with the settings (replacing equals with less than etc.) but nothing is functioning.

In the video attached, you can see that my battery level sits at 34%, and still the automation isn't working, but the shortcut itself is.

Any thoughts?
