To Turn iPhone Keyboard Sounds off...

1. Open: Settings app
2. Tap: Sounds & Haptics
3. Tap: Keyboard Feedback
4. Turn Sound Off.

eMake the change again, and then perform a restart.

Update your iPhone:

I would also suggest that you update your iPhone to the most-recent compatible iOS version. Start with attempting an update through use of a computer. If you cannot use Wi-Fi, then use Ethernet.  See my User Tip: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip.
