Notification tone for Nest camera

Since the upgrade to IOS 17 the general alert sound for notification of someone/thing within “sight” of the Nest doorbell has changed to a low volume gentle ping sound. From what I understand this can not be changed by the user. I am new to discussions but if this is monitored by APPLE please update the ISO to have a forceful alert sound for the protection of everyone with the Nest camera system. If this is also a problem for you please join me in requesting a change.

Thank you for the link. I didn’t know if Apple monitors the site or not. I thought if they do a few hundred of the same complaint would be impressive. I appreciate the information for the site and will use it.

Thank you, GingerGold! One of the purposes of the Nest doorbell is to be alerted when someone is entering our front yard area. If this cannot be fixed, it renders the product as-(mostly)-useless to our security. And I cannot understand why APPLE let this happen(?!)

We’ll be considering replacing the Nest with a RING doorbell, as their product was not affected by the recent iOS update. (We presently have a RING camera covering our patio).

The NEST CAM Alerts are barely audible since the Apple IPhone update. Does anyone have a fix for it yet?
