So I received my MacBook Air m2 13 inch yesterday and I ordered a starlight/gold one but I got sent the silver one. Can I go into store to get it changed because I want the starlight one?

You can (and should) return it for a refund, and immediately purchase another.
Apple sent you something you didn't want. You might ask the store if they can effect a straight exchange, but Apple's sales and refund policy does not offer such an option. I realize that doesn't make a lot of sense, but perhaps you can convince a human being at the store of that fact.
Well, it does happen. My wife bought a 2020 MBP 13" touch with 4 ports. It would do nothing but go to internet recovery.
The same day we received it took it to the Apple Store here and they did a straight exchange. It all depends on who you talk to.
My wife is very good at this sort of thing ... that's why she went and not me.
Initiate a return for a full refund. When you take it to the store, see if they can do what you want. Worst case: you get your money back and can order the right one.
