how do I get siri to stop announcing my notifications on my mac desktop

In Settings, I have those particular notifications turned off and it is still announcing my notifications

I understand Siri is being stubborn.

I understand you found notifications and adjusted those settings.


If you followed Have your Mac speak announcements - Apple Support


And notifications are off, Siri should be silent.

Refer to If Siri on Mac doesn’t work as expected - Apple Support


If this is not working; I would like to add a test user account, just set up some basics; see if everything (siri) is working as expected. This is a great way to pinpoint the source of the issue! Let me know if you need more help!

(don't forget: create backup and always update)
