HomeKit: Leviton device already added

I’ve seen this question being addressed and nobody has been able to solve the issue. I followed some of the community recommendations and after watching multiple YouTube videos, I found this one from Troubleshoot life : ***

if you add the device to HomeKit first using your WiFi you may be able to make your device work and you may be able to add it right after to Leviton.

You need to know that when you delete a device from Leviton from a room, you need to go to :

1.device

2.device settings

3.device health….. and

4.“remove device from residence” as well. This could be also the reason why you get a message from HomeKit that you have that device added to another home.


These steps helped me with SOME of my dimmers but I still haven’t been able to add all of them to Home kit.

I am still waiting for a final solution and I consider that APPLE and Leviton engineers must work together to fix the issue and facilitate the process to add devices to both apps.
