Ecobee thermostat geo fencing

I recently installed my second ecobee thermostat. On the thermostat there is Geo fencing.

my old thermostat I can Geo fence quite a distance away from my house. This new thermostat I cannot so I contacted Ecobee. The problem is the thermostat. The problem is HomeKit version. iOS 16 changed everything now it’s only 330 feet distance. That’s way too short. I can’t even walk into my backyard (5 acres ) without my thermostat turning down when I’m in my own backyard. is there anyway of reinstalling the geo-fencing so that I can spread out my geo- fence the way that I like it. I was able to turn down or turn up my thermostat when I was about a mile and a half away from my home. 330 feet just ain’t gonna cut it. What can we do to reinstall the Geo fencing in HomeKit app like it was prior to iOS 16? And times I think HomeKit is improving and then there’s other times I question it.
