Apple keybord missing letters

A few years ago I purchased an apple keyboard for my Mac Pro. When I was using it it would constantly miss letters and I would have to go back and enter the missing letters. I finally gave up on it and kept using my old Apple keyboard. I just found this new keybaord and I am trying it again. I have the same issue but wondering if there is a setting or something I can do so I can actually use it?

I am using a Mac Pro desktop running Big Sur 11.7.2. Although when I had problems before I was using a much older OS.

The keyboard itself is responsible for generating a key-code based on the row and column position of the key. Once a key code is generated, software may translate that key-code into something else.

Pproblems like not seeing a letter when typed, seeing multiple letters or missing letters in a row or (slightly diagonal) column, are caused by physical problems in the keyboard itself. Today's keyboards are generally not very repairable.

It sounds like your keyboard is broken.
