phillips hue bridge not connecting

i bought a phillips hue bridge and homepod to set up lights. i can’t get the bridge to link to homekit. i have tried a hard reset of the bridge. i have removed everything from the home app and and then added the home pod again but the when i try to add the phillips bridge it says accesory not found. i tried using the qr code and by oushibg the button the large button on top for a second and releasing. the bridge does link to

alexa devices. i know others have run into this issue but is there an official fix for it
