Are MacBook Pro 13-in 2016 screen assemblies interchangeable?

So I bought a 2016 non Touch Bar MacBook and I broke the screen. So I bought a screen off of a 2016 MacBook Pro Touch Bar. I heard there not compatible and won’t work. Is this true? (I’m not talking about the Touch Bar screen but the actual screen)
