Adding TPLink Light Bulb to Apple Home

FIRST....EVERYTHING is up to date. So skip that garbage. I put the light bulb in startup mode, I scan the QR for the Matter setup and HomeKit cannot find the light bulb.

I'm not sure what to think at this point. I' about ready to give up on HomeKit.
