I am working on an Intel Mac Pro 2019. Having just upgraded to Mac OS Sonoma 14.4, the system no longer displays either the Macintosh HD or external drives disk capacity. That is, the drive icons are displayed but not their capacity. I'm guessing there is a box that needs ticking - or unticking - to bring back this information, yes?

Poked around a bit and found it:
click the desktop
Finder > View > Show View Options

[V] show Item Info
That's a nice feature. Shows free space as well.

I have used MacOS since System 4.21 with MultiFinder in 1987.
I have Macs running many different versions of MacOS, up to and including 10.13 Ventura.
I have never seen drive size displayed there.
In the attached screen grab I have blurred the names of my external drives for privacy. What is missing since I updated Sonoma is drive capacity, that should appear under each drive.
where did you expect to see this information? a screenshot might help
