Setting up icloud using windows outlook error message (Attention Required).

If you keep receiving this error message here in the solution, Apple usually uses a two-step verification to log into a site. Once you type your password, it will usually send you a code to authenticate. The problem is that Outlook requires only a screen name password and no option for a two-step authentication.

The solution is to download the Outlook app to your phone which is the first step.

First open Outlook, then scroll down on the left-hand side until you see add account. Type in the iCloud account you are trying to create ******@icloud.com, then click continue, you'll be asked to create an app-specific password. Click continue, the next screen will show your Apple ID and it will ask for an "app password"

Then on your iPhone, or windows pc, log into appleid.com after you logged in. Go under Sign-in and Security, and scroll to the bottom of the page to see these options: Account Security, Notification Email, Account Recovery, Legacy Contact, Sign in with Apple, and App-Specific Passwords. Click on the last option (App-Specific Passwords). After you will be asked to log in again with your screen name and password, after this it will generate a 16-digit string. This is the app-generated password you need to type into Outlook as the "app password". Once you've done this it will congratulate you and you've finally added iCloud to outlook. If you have any questions or still stuck reach out to me and we will go step by step.

Best of Luck
