Why can’t we make payments on Apple wallet

If you are unable to use the wallet app to make a payment then I recommend removing your card and adding it back. To remove your card, select Apple Card in Wallet app, tap the 3 dots menu, tap Card Details, tap remove card at the bottom. To add your card back, go into the wallet app, tap on the plus in the top right corner and tap on previous cards.i did this and it fixed mine and it’s working great again.
